DOES IT HURT
Yes! Certain spots are worse then others. Be prepared, eat before hand, drink lots of water, and avoid caffeine. If pain becomes unmanageable, we can break the tattoo up into sessions. There are lots of numbing creams on the market now as well. Consult that with your artist.
I WANT A TATTOO BUT I’M ON A LIMITED BUDGET. HOW DO YOU DETERMINE PRICING?
We typically charge by the hour. You can determine how many hours you can afford for the day, and break the tattoo up into sessions over time.
SHOULD I TIP MY TATTOO ARTIST?
Of coarse it’s not required, but we are providing a service, like food servers, hairstylist etc. so it’s definitely appreciated, being a large portion of our pay goes back into the shop.
WHY DO YOU HAVE A SHOP MINIMUM AND WHY IS IT $100?
Just like any other business, the economy has significantly affected the costs of supplies. Just the set up for a tattoo, a lot is involved from all the barrier products, from covering all the equipment, to the cleaning supplies, needles, ink, disposal of biohazards etc. just one set up for one client is not cheap. AND NO WE DO NOT SHARE NEEDLES OR SET UPS WITH FAMILY MEMBERS
IS IT OK TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT LAST MINUTE?
The Answer is No. We know it seems our job is all fun, but it is our livelihood. We do not make an hourly wage, our income is solely based off of the appointments we have for the day. We get to do what we love but we also have to make a living and be able to provide for our families. Obviously emergencies come up and we understand under certain circumstances but please try to remember this when booking. Try to give your artist a good amount of time to fill that spot.
CAN I SWIM AFTER A TATTOO?
Absolutely not! You have to look at a tattoo like an open wound. You have to keep it clean and treat it as that. Infections can occur the second you leave the shop, just accidentally rubbing it on something or dust getting in it etc. you should avoid any activities that can cause any harm for about 2 weeks. We also can tell if the tattoo is not treated properly! So please follow the proper aftercare instructions to avoid any issues. We highly recommend using saniderm.
